About Beth Crutcher Giacone

Beth Crutcher Giacone is a 35 year old wife and mother who lives in Madisonville with her husband, Bryan and their 7 year old son, Joshua. Beth graduated from LSUHSC in 1997, and is a licensed Physical Therapist. There are many great words we can use to characterize Beth Crutcher Giacone; kind-hearted, generous, trustworthy, humble, thoughtful, intelligent, Christian, loving mother and wife, and the list goes on.

In the summer of 2003, Beth was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis/ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease. After experiencing muscle wasting decreased coordination in her hand which progressed to weakness in her left hand and leg, involuntary muscle twitches in her left arm and calf, decreased balance and function in her left hand, Beth was evaluated and diagnosed with ALS by Dr. Stanley Appel at Baylor Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

Although there is no cure for ALS at this time, Beth is required to return to Houston to monitor the progress of her illness, and hopefully be treated with the newest drugs available every 3 months. Beth’s family and friends are joining together to find opportunities to help Beth and her family with the financial burdens this has placed upon them.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your contributions, participation, support and prayers for Beth and her family.
